Rebel Salute- Chanting Down Babylon For 30 Years.

2024 has begun and as the tourism season takes off in Jamaica, the iconic reggae event kicking off the year, Rebel Salute celebrates 30 years of reggae greatness next weekend in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. On January 19th and 20th reggae lovers will converge in Plantation Cove in St. Ann, Jamaica for the two-day festival started by artiste and entrepreneur Tony Rebel 30 years ago. This year’s line-up will include Grammy Award winner Sean Paul as the headliner.

“I’ve achieved more than the objectives. I have exceeded that. We have made so many artistes big, so many have gotten their big break on the Rebel Salute stage, and I’m happy for that. A lot of vendors have made money selling at the event, the hotels have also done well; so, pretty much, I have contributed to the over GDP [gross domestic product] of this country. I’ve played my part and I’m happy that I am able to do that,” said Tony Rebel.

This year’s staging will also feature the growing attraction, the Herb Curb. A side-event focused on moving the legal cannabis industry in Jamaica forward. They’ll host notable guest speakers and growers and brands can display their products for public sampling.

Performing artiste, Samory-I. “It is always an amazing thing to be on any platform where Rastas can go on and spread positivity, but it’s just another night in the office. Is just for me to go out and give the people the message,” he said.

Strictly: NO MEAT, NO ALCOHOL, NO DRUGS, NO WEAPONS.
