Ganjactivist.com, a leading editorial website in the cannabis space, will be hosting the 2nd quarterly Ganjactivist.com Cannabis Conference & Expo Series. Founder, M. Omari Jackson says, he thought it was important to keep Jamaica as part of the global cannabis conversation and vice-versa. “Jamaica is a contender” he states. From March 22nd through Mar 26th, virtual attendees will get access to top-level roundtable discussions, one-on-one interviews, company presentations and educational workshops. The Thursday of the event will be reserved for company presentations and product demos alongside virtual workshops and the Friday will be an investor roundtable, and a short business incubator.
Registration is free and the producers expect attendance to exceed 2500 during the week. “We have a great agenda and great guests speaking. We’re trying to bring knowledge and share knowledge. Anyone involved or with any interest in the cannabis industry will find any day if not all days very useful. We have some great sponsorship opportunities for companies and brands to showcase their products and services to a Jamaican, Caribbean and global audience”, says Jackson.
Guest speakers for this event are industry notables like Tommy Chong, a globally famous actor, comedian and cannabis activist. Other speakers include Matthew Nordgren of Arcadian Capital and Vivianne Wilson, the first Black female dispensary owner in Canada and she’s from Jamaica.
The conference series will continue quarterly for 2021, with this Spring edition from March 22nd through March 26th. The Summer edition on June 21st through 25th, Fall from September 27h through October 1st and a December edition with dates yet to be determined. “We intend to host an in-person event in Negril, Jamaica next year (2022)”.
