It’s not seasonal, but we’ve missed out on a lot of events this year due to the ever-present COVID-19 pandemic. The virtual world is taking shape as conferences and industry events have either been canceled or gone completely virtual. We can only expect to see hybrid conferences in the near future.
The remainder of August has a few cool industry events taking place. The most anticipated event on the cannabis calendar in Jamaica, the CanEx Jamaica Conference and Expo is taking a break from their live event format, usually scheduled for September. This year, they are bringing us a few online events. On August 27th they are staging a one-day event on cultivation. They are tackling the question, many have not yet even asked; what are the benefits of indoor vs. outdoor farming for a Jamaican operation. Click the link in the image below to join.
Many event marketing companies have had to grapple with the decimation of their industry. Virtual formats have not taken the place of live events, but it does keep the industry together and allows for more access to interested entrepreneurs, stakeholders and consumers. The CanEx Jamaica team is rolling out a stream of events throughout the remainder of the year. Patrons can look forward to their new 2020 conference series format.
