Cannect Guadeloupe Brings Ganja Business to the French Caribbean

The association Cannect F.W.I is pleased to introduce its first initiative. The first cannabis event ever organized in the French West Indies, Cannect Guadeloupe. This event will be held at the Spot Coworking, a famous space where entrepreneurs from the whole island meet up, December 12th, 2019 at 6:30 pm. This is a highly anticipated event for the French Caribbean population.

In October of this year, France authorized experimentation on Medical Cannabis which will allow 3000 patients suffering from epilepsy, neuropathic pain, side effects due to chemo, MS and patients in need of palliative care to have access to medical cannabis as an alternative treatment.

“Coming back in Guadeloupe after working for a Cannabis Licensed Producer in Toronto, I came to the sad realization that nothing was done to educate and inform people here.  In one hand professionals: so, they can be a part of this booming industry, and on another hand regular people: so, the stigma around the cannabis plant can disappear,” said Julie Manlius, the founder of the association Cannect F.W.I. “There is a shift in French regulations towards Medical Cannabis. This is the perfect opportunity to show everybody that there is an industry behind this plant.”

Cannect Guadeloupe will be an afterwork event where entrepreneurs and canna-curious will be able to exchange and network. They will learn more from several speakers who will tap on subjects such as hemp and how it can boost the Guadeloupean economy, the Medical Cannabis experimentation and the similarities between Cannabis and our medicinal local plants.

Cannect F.W.I aims to educate, train and empower entrepreneurs and professionals on the Cannabis industry in the French West Indies. By highlighting the Guadeloupean savoir-faire and adding innovations such as CBD and hemp, we want to be the platform that helps local farmers and innovators to thrive in this industry.

420Caribe’s parent company Digital420 is a proud sponsor partner of this event series.
