Roles, Partnerships & Collaborators
The Build Back Again / Rebuild Jamaica initiative is moving from campaign mode into active development.
As the work grows, we’re building a small, focused team and a network of aligned partners to help execute responsibly, transparently, and at scale.
This page outlines current opportunities to get involved — through roles, partnerships, and advisory support.
Founding Operations & Project Manager
(Founding Role | Short-Term Deferred → Paid Retainer)
Location: Remote (U.S. / Jamaica coordination)
Time Commitment: ~5–8 hours per week, 4–6 weeks initially.
About the Initiative
The Build Back Again / Rebuild Jamaica initiative is transitioning from a fundraising campaign into an active development project focused on climate-resilient rebuilding, community stability, and long-term economic recovery in Jamaica.
This phase is about execution — turning intent, relationships, and momentum into organized action.
The Role
We are seeking a Founding Operations & Project Manager to serve as the operational backbone during this early build phase. This role is responsible for creating structure where none yet exists, supporting coordination across partners and collaborators, and ensuring follow-through on priorities.
This is a founding-stage role designed for someone comfortable operating in ambiguity and building systems before scale.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and maintain project trackers, timelines, and task ownership.
Coordinate follow-ups with partners, advisors, and volunteers.
Organize documentation, workflows, and shared resources.
Support preparation for meetings, outreach, and deliverables.
Surface risks, gaps, and dependencies early.
What Success Looks Like (First 30–45 Days)
Clear operational visibility across workstreams.
Reliable cadence for updates and follow-through
Reduced founder bottlenecks.
Systems in place that can scale as funding arrives.
Ideal Background
Experience in operations, project management, or NGO environments.
Strong organizational instincts and follow-through
Comfort working across time zones and cultures.
Familiarity with international development, climate resilience, or the Caribbean is a plus.
Role Structure & Compensation
This role begins with a short, defined proof-of-concept phase (4–6 weeks) with deferred compensation. There is a clear intention to transition to a paid monthly retainer as funding and partnerships are secured.
We value transparency, boundaries, and mutual respect for time.
Why Join at This Stage?
Founding-level role with real influence.
Direct exposure to funders, institutions, and international partners.
Opportunity to shape systems from the ground up.
Meaningful work with long-term impact.

Founder Note
This project is at a real inflection point. We’ve laid the foundation, built early momentum, and opened conversations with partners and institutions — now the work shifts to execution.
I’m looking for a founding operations partner who is comfortable stepping into an early-stage environment, bringing structure without overengineering, and helping move a mission-driven project from intent to action. This role isn’t about managing people yet — it’s about building the systems that make growth possible.
If you enjoy turning complexity into clarity and helping meaningful work move forward, this is an opportunity to shape something from the ground up.
One Love,
M. Omari Jackson
